Environment and Sustainability
At Arctic Lavvo, we care deeply about the environment and sustainability. Our goal is to contribute in the best possible way to preserving our shared natural heritage. Some of the steps we take to help include repairing tents and lavvos, implementing a deposit system for defective tents, and offering a trade-in system for Venor Lavvo and Venor Gamme products.
Trade-In Program
We offer a trade-in system where we accept all sizes of Venor Gamme, Venor Lavvo, and Venor Traditional Lavvo. To qualify for a trade-in, you must purchase a brand-new Venor product from us.
When making a purchase, we assess the value of your item based on its age and condition after examining the product. An estimate can be provided via phone or email, but to give an accurate trade-in amount, you must send the product to us. We will agree on a trade-in value, which will then serve as a discount on your new Venor product.
The traded-in items are inspected and, if necessary, repaired before being resold to new customers. This is beneficial for you, the new customer, and the environment! Contact us for a non-binding evaluation of your used Venor Lavvo or Venor Gamme.
Deposit Program
We offer a deposit of NOK 1,000 for your defective tent/lavvo when purchasing a brand-new Venor Gamme or Venor Lavvo. It doesn’t matter if the defective tent is from us or another manufacturer.
Our focus on environmental responsibility ensures that damaged textiles are properly handled. Even if your tent is defective or damaged and may no longer hold value for you, it can still be valuable to others. Several waste management organizations work on recycling fibers from used textiles. Recycled fibers can be used to produce insulation or other fibrous materials.
If the textiles cannot be reused, we ensure that the damaged tents are disposed of as the correct type of waste. We believe our products are durable and have a long lifespan. Furthermore, they promote good public health by encouraging increased outdoor activities.
Production from Residual Materials
To protect nature and the environment, we make the most of raw materials from our low-volume, high-quality production process. Even materials that would normally go unused are repurposed. For example, production scraps are used to label items in our inventory.
